And actually, in terms of recognition, growth, and personal satisfaction, it's not all that little. My name is Al Simon, and my partner Carole Taylor and I teach Tai Chi, an exercise for health, fitness, stress relief, and vitality. In 1997, we started a web site for the little, local
Tai Chi class we taught. Let's flash forward to today, just two years later: Our mailing list has grown from 100 local residents to over 5000 people around the world! We now have our own eBook for our Level 1 Learn-at-Home course. Students have purchased our eBook in the U.S., Canada, U.K., India, and Iceland... to name just a few places. Here are the few strategies we implement and how we went about growing our business: Using your "affiliate" strategies, CloudWater.com sold over $6500 of affiliate products in one year. This approach generated a small "instant income" while we decided how to do our own product. In addition, we used your strategies for building our own e-mail database. We began offering a free monthly newsletter, free articles, and free downloads through CloudWater.com. These strategies achieved two goals: it allowed us to find customers for the affiliate programs we were promoting, plus it gave us a "ready-made" audience to market to when our information product was ready. Plus, your "Insider Secrets" course convinced us to produce an eBook rather than the traditional book and video. Last winter, we created a Learn-at-Home eBook for our ChiFusionT Level 1 program and it has really started to take off! Students and instructors all across the U.S., Canada, U.K., and even India and Iceland have purchased our eBook. It's become so popular, we are planning on producing all four levels of our program as an eBook. So that's how we got to where we are today. But it hasn't ended -- we are still mining your "Insider Secrets" goldmine! We've recently changed our Learn-at-Home web page to be more like the "sales letter" format that you use on your own site.
